Iraq & Afganistan Wars End: Unintended Consequences: Boon for Working Women

Will the end of two long wars be a catalyst for expanded work-place flextime, increased numbers of stay-at-home dads, and a redefining of masculinity?

Maybe!

Women, for years now, have been pushing for flextime, but their requests have largely fallen on deaf ears. But, this might begin trending our way as veterans return home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Follow the logic: Doctors keep banker's hours, veterans will need doctors, therefore the wounded veterans  will have to keep banker's hours (home during the day taking care of the children).
Clearly our stated reasons don't pass muster with our employers, but it may become taboo to say no to flextime when the employee is requesting it to make life less ___________ for a veteran's spouse. This seems crass but, I believe it's likely!
Women employees asking for flextime in order to spend more time with the spouse who has been away for so long and returns so.....in need of ________
(time).

Men in need women!...
